Dr. Westberg joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Care and Health Systems on the Twin Cities campus as an assistant professor in 2007.  Previous to this position, she held a co-funded position between the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, Duluth and St. Mary’s Duluth Clinic, where she provided medication therapy management services to patients in an internal medicine department.  She teaches in a variety of courses, including endocrine pharmacotherapy.  She is currently actively working to expand the MTM practices offered by the College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Westberg received her Pharm.D. from Drake University in 2001.  She then completed a two year Pharmaceutical Care Leadership Residency through the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 2003.

Dr. Westberg’s practice interests focus on ambulatory care, specifically management of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and women’s health.  Her research interests are focused on the impact of medication therapy management practices on patient outcomes and the development of MTM practices.

Dr. Westberg is actively involved in the Minnesota Pharmacists Association, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and the American Pharmacists Association.
