2008 Conversations on Pharmacy Leadership

This year’s Conversations will maintain the theme of motivation, while focusing on core leadership concepts, or the process of leadership. The four-part series is designed to help you:

  • assess your individual strengths,
  • understand non-positional, grassroots pharmacy leadership and your ability to make a difference every day,
  • appreciate the processes of visioning and organizational leadership, and
  • examine the steps for leading adaptive change.

The 2008 Conversation series will also be integrated with Leadership Best Sellers for Pharmacists, an online continuing education program that will delve further into the how to of the topics discussed in this series.

Shaping the Future: Adapting to Change
Based on the Best Seller series book: Our Iceberg is Melting
Hosted on the Twin Cities Campus

This seminar will discuss the critical elements in leading, when the future is unknown. The focus will be on creating and sustaining an environment conducive to adaptive change and marshalling the appropriate individuals to contribute to change.

Objectives:

  1. Recognize the steps required to lead adaptive change in an organization.
  2. Participants will reflect on “the future health care system” and their role in adapting to or shaping change external to the profession.
