Our courses are run with explicit start, end and due dates. Through previous experience, we have learned that this helps busy health professionals in completing the program. Without deadlines, it’s easy to push off the work until “next week” (and then next week, and then next week!)
Although our courses are scheduled, we are primarily interested in your learning. We would like you to have the opportunity to learn from the quizzes and assignments. We’d rather that you not just rush through the work just to complete it. For these reasons, we are extension friendly, when we can be, given the availability of our instructors and our ability to manage grading at multiple times.
If you find that your learning might benefit from an extension, please use the Request Form to request an extension on a particular quiz or assignment. In considering the date by which you can have the work completed, unless there are extenuating circumstances, this date should generally not extend beyond one week from the original due date. Once your request has been reviewed and we have determined it can be accommodated, you will receive an email confirmation. In this email, please watch for any special directions you may need to follow in order to access materials or submit them.
